Leigh Christy's Profile
As an Associate Principal, Leigh Christy works at the interface of urban design and architecture. Her public and private sector experience encompasses design, management, and technical realms at a variety of scales, offering her a project perspective that is both comprehensive and forward-looking. She specializes in providing innovative, sustainable project solutions that meet the client’s and com¬munity’s needs. Leigh is a member of the Perkins+Will Green Team and Resiliency Task Force, the head of the firm’s Innovation Incubator microgrant program, and the leader of the Los Angeles Office Social Responsibility Committee. Using both research, teaching and project work as a basis, she frequently publishes articles and pres¬ents social and environmental sustainability issues at all scales. Leigh received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. She has been an adjunct faculty member of Woodbury University since 2008 and an architectural design juror at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), University of Southern California and UC Berkeley among others. Her project work has been honored with numerous design awards and has been featured in numerous publications, including Architecture, Architectural Record, World Architecture News, and Interior Design.
