Bill is a principal and technical director of the Los Angeles office of Perkins+Will. With Bruce Toman, he is co-leader of firmwide technical delivery and co-director of Tech Lab. He has had a lead role on some of the Perkins+Will's largest and most important projects, including the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, the University of Pennsylvania Biomedical Research Building II, the Sheikh Zayed Tower and Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children’s Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital, the McDonnell Pediatric and Cancer Research Building, and the USC Zilkha Neurogenetics Institute. Bill is the author of The Architect’s Guide to Writing, published in 2014 by Images Publishing. He was the 2011 chair of the AIA Construction Contract Administration Knowledge Community, and has been a member of its Advisory Group since 2010. Bill is a licensed architect in California and Illinois, and has a B Arch degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
